Easter Hunt

On Easter holidays, I managed to have fun with first cycle.

With 6 year-old kis divided in two groups, we played an Easter Hunt, they had to look for plastic eggs in the playground where the Easter bunny had hidden them before. Then they coloured paper eggs and decorated them at the wall rabbit.

With 7 year-old kids, we painted boiled eggs in class using glitter and shiny stickers.
It was really fun!

EUROPEAN XMAS TREE DECORATIONS

Ey, everyone! I hope you had a great time on holidays.

I would like to show you a new activity in my school related with the Portfolio project.

Students in all primary cicles participated making local spanish tree decorations to send to many European different school centres. Some of the countries that participated were U.K. (Wales, Scotland, Ireland), Poland, Malta, Rumania, Italy, France, Belgium, Hungury). At the same time, we (our school) received different tree decorations from them ( children) to make our Xmas tree real which was stood beautifully in the school hall. Also we send information about our school, culture and carols in Xmas time.

It was an amazing activity as the children learnt about how other children from other countries enjoy and celebrate Xmas time.

Here, you can see a picture of the Xmas tree in our hall.

Spanish Constitution- 6th December

As every year, in Spain we celebrate democracy thanks to our Spanish Constitution created in 1978, the 6th of December.

We wanted to remind students how it happed and why in the school. Third cycle could understand more... They studied some laws and wrothe them down.

Again, the corridor wall is the one which can tell loads of stories...

27 th November- Teacher's Day

Right, long time since I wrote here...

I just wanted to share how we celebrated our Teacher's day. Students in first cycle had to think about their teachers and write notes about him/her. So we enlarged our face and stack our real body drawn in white paper as for the kids could glue the comments around. Each teacher had one this (very funny though) on the wall. My students wrote down in both languages.

Here is the example!

Day of European Languages

This is my new adventure in Petra Sanchez primary school, Murcia.

Last 26th of September we celebrated the Day of European Languages. As children in this school are from everywher we changed into the Day of Languages in general.

It was an interesting activity as some of them could proudly show off the place where they are from or how to say good morning in their native language. They even showed us in a map their countries and pointed their flags.

Here you can see in this picture.
